Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) is an Indonesian non-profit organization focused on conserving Indonesia’s natural resources and supporting sustainable development. As an independent organization that continues the work of The Nature Conservancy in Indonesia, YKAN collaborates with government, communities, and partners to implement science-based conservation solutions.
YKAN works across marine, fisheries, forestry, and climate sectors, with strong emphasis on marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, and community-based resource management. Through its capacity building programmes, YKAN provides training, technical assistance, and knowledge exchange platforms to strengthen institutional and community capacity, contributing to the goals of the Coral Triangle Initiative and Indonesia’s national development priorities
