Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to saving the world’s coral reefs. CORAL works at the intersection of science, community engagement, and sustainable management to address key threats to coral reef ecosystems, including climate change, overfishing, and poor water quality.
CORAL partners with local communities, governments, and tourism operators to develop and implement solutions that improve reef resilience. The organization is particularly recognized for its work on climate-smart reef management, sustainable tourism, and watershed management to reduce land-based impacts on coral reefs.
Through its capacity building programmes, CORAL provides training, technical assistance, and tools to strengthen reef management, improve local governance, and support community-driven conservation efforts aligned with Coral Triangle Initiative priorities.
